Tengrinews.kz - Almaty Botanical Garden has published an important announcement for visitors.
The organization announced on its Instagram page that it will be temporarily closed.
"Due to yesterday's hurricane in the city, the Botanical Garden will be closed to visitors until April 10. It is currently difficult to move around the Botanical Garden due to fallen trees and broken branches. Therefore, we need to clean up the public area and also check the condition of the plantings to eliminate the possibility of hazardous trees falling," the organization said in a statement.
The Botanical Garden apologized for the temporary inconvenience. The organization clarified that they plan to resume work on April 10. The Botanical Garden reported that the magnolias have already bloomed and, fortunately, were not damaged. The swans living on the garden's territory are also feeling well.
