Tengrinews.kz - A Kazakh citizen died in a horrific accident on April 1 in Phuket, Thailand, local media reported.

According to reports, the crash occurred at around 12:45 A.M. The man was riding a motorcycle at high speed on Bypass Road when he lost control and crashed into a pole, sustaining fatal injuries.

Initially, Thai authorities identified the victim as a "Russian tourist" after spotting Russian text on his phone screen.

However, it was later confirmed that he was a Kazakh citizen who had been living and working on the island.

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry told Tengrinews.kz that they currently do not have verified information about the deceased.

Earlier, a boat carrying tourists from Kazakhstan and Russia exploded in Thailand. Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry commented on the explosion.
