Bulat Utemuratov, President of Kazakhstan's Tennis Federation and a well-known businessman, has opened a tennis center in Kokshetau city of Akmola oblast, Tengrinews reports. The new venue is the only sport-specified complex in the region. It is equipped according to the world standards. It has three roofed and three open-air tennis courts with modern professional surfaces. The center is the 7th venue funded by Verny Capital Investment Company that belongs to the businessman. Before that the company built tennis courts in Almaty, Pavladar, Kyzylorda and Ust-Kamenogorsk. The sport organization that is now managing the tennis center is a member of the Asian Tennis Federation and International Tennis Federation. The main goals of the center is to promote the sport among children, promoting tennis in non-central regions, provide certification opportunities for coaches, train referees and making tennis a more popular sport in Kazakhstan. Utemuratov was appointed president of the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan in 2007. The organization has branches in 12 Oblasts, and in both major cities - Astana and Almaty - of Kazakhstan.
