Kazakhstan Prime-Minister instructed Agriculture Minister Assylzhan Mamytbekov to submit suggestions on setting up a fodder production industry in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports. "It is necessary to form a fodder market and fodder production industry in Kazakhstan. The suggestions have to be submitted within one month. The government will then make a decision considering the suggestions of our villagers and farmers. We are expecting your suggestions within one month's time to review the details and take comrehensive measures on this issue," Serik Akhmetov told Mamytbekov. According to the Prime-Minister, Kazakhstan's sowing area under forage crops has decreased almost 5-fold, while provision of cattle with fodder in the housing season is below 60 percent of the needed amount.
