Almaty and Astana responsible for 30% of Kazakhstan’s pension deductions

Over 30 percent of all the pension deductions in Kazakhstan fall on Almaty and Astana cities. The residents of these cities have transferred 97.4 billion tenge ($649 million) in seven months of 2013, Ranking.kz reports. In overall amount of the pension deductions in January-July 2013 made 316.4 billion tenge ($2.1 billion) in January-July 2013, which is 11.6 percent or 32.9 billion tenge ($219 million) more that in the same period of last year. Astana city had the greatest growth in pension deductions: 17.6 percent or 5.7 billion tenge ($38 million) more than in January-July last year.
