4.5-magnitude earthquake struck 300km from Almaty

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake hit Kyrgyzstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing European-Mediterranean Seismology Center. The shocks were registered at 06:32 a.m. (Astana time) on June 26. The epicenter was 5 km deep and 301 km south-west of Almaty, Kazakhstan, and 166 km north-east of Osh, Kyrgyzstan. No casualties were reported. On June 14 a 4.6-magnitude earthquake hit China not far from Kazakhstan border. The epicenter of the quake was 1km deep and 330 km south of Almaty, Kazakhstan, and 198 km north-east of Kashi, China.
