Previously, Azamat’s father had been denied a US visa, which meant that he would not be able to attend the June 30th hearing of this son's case.

“I waited for 45 days. They did not want to give me a visa and offered no explanations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs helped and I got the visa last week. We have purchased the tickets and I’m leaving for the USA in a couple days,” Ismagulov told Tengrinews.

The hearing on Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov’s case has been postponed several times. It was also reported that the hearing might be postponed till 2015. But according to Ismagulov, the main hearing is scheduled to July 30th, 2014.
