Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan currently operates regular international flights to 32 countries, with the Civil Aviation Committee announcing the top 10 destinations with the highest number of flights.
"There are currently 778 weekly flights from Kazakhstan to 32 countries via 132 routes, operated by both Kazakh and foreign airlines," the committee said.
"The top 10 destinations are Turkey, Russia, UAE, Georgia, Egypt, China, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, India, and Germany."
Turkey ranks first in the number of flights from Kazakhstan, followed by Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
Kazakhstan has direct air connections with 32 countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, China, and many others. The Ministry of Transport also mentioned ongoing negotiations to expand cooperation with aviation authorities in other countries.
Meanwhile, the committee noted that although Shanghai (China) is an approved destination for Kazakh airlines, there are no current plans for direct flights there, nor have Chinese airlines submitted applications to operate such flights.
Additionally, Kazakh airlines have no plans to open flights to Kosovo in the near future, and no foreign airlines have applied for these routes either.
