North Caspian Operating Company, the operator of Kashagan oilfield, located in Kazakhstan's sector of the Caspian Sea shelf, was fined $10 thousand for harming the environment.
Around 200 employees of CAPE Industrial Services subcontractor were striking this weekend. The company works on D island of Kazakhstan’s oil field Kashagan.
Kashagan's development in Kazakhstan has already absorbed $116 billion, which makes the project one of the most expensive discoveries of the last 40 years.
