Two men were walking lions in broad daylight in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Tengrinews reports citing Uk.kz.

The airing of lions was photographed from a car window by one of the city's residents who drove by.

As it turned out, the two white lion youngers - both under one year old - belong to Demidov Circus that is now located at the Komsomolsk Island of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The circus insisted that the predators were not dangerous for humans - the cubs were tamed and could be safely walked in the streets on a leash and unmuzzled near humans with no risk of aggression from the animals.

“In Omsk (a Russian city near the Kazakh border), for example, the lions were brought to large shopping malls for shows and walked right in the center of the city. Everyone could photograph animals, but petting or getting close to them was not permitted," they said.

Public opinion on the matter differs as you can imagine.
