Kazakhstani boxer Zhanat Zhakyanov won the vacant WBA Interntioanl title in the bantamweight, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Zhakiyanov (25-1, 18KOs) fought against the Argentinian boxer Hector Rolando Guzman (14-1- 9KOs) in Bulgaria. The Kazakhstani KOed his previously undefeated opponent at the end of the 6th round of the 12 round fight.

Currently, Kazakhstan’s #1 bantamweight boxer resides on the 3rd place in the WBA ranking. The 31 y.o. is the holder of the WBC Eurasia Pacific Boxing Council and EBU Championship titles.
