Trainer of Golovkin's opponent Willie Monroe arrested for drug dealing

Toni Morgan, the trainer of Gennady Golovkin’s opponent Willie Monroe Jr. has been arrested for dealing drugs, Tengrinews reports citing BoxingScene.com.


Toni Morgan, the trainer of Gennady Golovkin’s opponent Willie Monroe Jr. has been arrested for dealing drugs, Tengrinews reports citing BoxingScene.com.

Golovkin is fighting Monroe on May 16 at The Forum in Los Angeles. Unfortunately for Monroe, trainer Morgan was arrested for allegedly selling 113.3 grams of methamphetamine worth $6,400 to undercover police officers.

BoxingScene.com reported citing the Tribune that Morgan was charged with “trafficking in meth over 28 grams, maintaining a vehicle for drug trafficking, and possession of paraphernalia” in Florida.

It is yet unknown whether Morgan will second Monroe on May 16 in a fight against Kazakhstan's Tripe G.
