Mikhail Kukushkin is nine lines up in ATP ranking

Kazakhstan sportsman Mikhail Kukushkin moved nine lines up in the Assosiation of Tennis Professionals ranking and is now 60th, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the official ATP website. Kukushkin moved up owing to his recent victory at President’s Cup in Astana. The tennis player won 110 points for the ranking and $18,000 in prize money at the tournament. Another Kazakhstan professional Andrey Golubev returned to the first hundred in the renewed list. He has reached the semifinals of the Cup in Astana and advanced to the 91st place in the ranking gaining 12 lines. Novak Djokovic is still the ATP leader. He is followed by Spanish Rafael Nadal and Swiss Roger Federer. There is only one change in the first ten. American Mardy Fish has pushed Czech Tomas Berdych down from the eighth line into the ninth. Galina Voskoboeva is the best among Kazakhstan women professionals in the women's WTA ranking. She has moved from the 134th to the 133rd position. Another Kazakhstan professional Yaroslava Shvedova has lost two lines and is ranked 143rd. Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark is number one in the ranking. Kim Clijsters from Belgium and Vera Zvonareva from Russia follow her.
