114 Kazakhstan athletes have qualified for the XXX Summer Olympic Games, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Kazakhstan Sport and Physical Education Agency’s press-office. “Kazakhstan national team is making all the necessary arrangements prior to the forthcoming XXX Summer London Olympic and XIV Paralympics Games and all the festive events are being held at a high level. For the moment 114 Kazakhstan athletes have qualified for the main sport event of the quadrennium,” Talgat Yermegiyayev, chairman of the Agency said. The festive campaign dedicated to the 20th anniversary of state symbols was held in Astana on July 3. The national XXX Summer London Olympics and Paralympics team took part in the campaign, the press-release reads. The Olympics athletes swore the oath and the chairman of the Agency presented them with identity documents and badges of Kazakhstan National Olympics Team at the campaign. Then Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov, 1980 Moscow Olympic Games champion, addressed the athletes. The Agency’s press-office declared the amount of one-time prize money that would be paid off to London Olympics winners and their coaches: $250 thousand for the first place, $150 thousand for the 2nd place, $75 thousand for the 3rd, $30 thousand for the 4th, $10 thousand for the 5th and $5 thousand for the sixth place.
