Kazakhstan to have 3 days off for Orthodox Christmas

Kazakhstan residents will have three days off for the Orthodox Christmas this year, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to Article 96 of Kazakhstan Labor Code, religious holidays Kurban-ait and Orthodox Christmas are not considered official holidays, but are days off. In this relation, Kazakhstan residents will have 3 days off: January 5, 6 and 7, 2013. Earlier His Beatitude Alexander, the Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan congratulated Kazakhstan's Orthodox Christians on the coming Christmas. By Nazymgul Kumyspayeva
