According to her, it starts with choosing a place for the wedding party. The cost of food per one guest could vary from 5-7 thousand tenge ($37-47) to 30,000 tenge ($203). Decoration of every table costs 3000 ($20) or more. For 3000 tenge the table would be decorated with flowers. “Lat's take a party of 100 guests as an example to calculate expenses. If the average expenses per one guest make 100 dollars the cost of the party will surmount to $10,000. And decoration of the restaurant will cost additional $1,500,” Mukanova said. Besides, newly wed usually spend 220-250 thousand tenge ($1.5-1.7 thousand) on music and lights. Popular music bands and actors are often invited to wedding parties for entertainment. One hour of a regular actor costs 10,000 tenge ($67.6). According to the event agency's director, four regular actors usually service one wedding making the entertainment expenses quadruple to 40,000 tenge ($270) per hour. Dancers are also a frequent entertainment at wedding parties. Their cost would be 25-30 thousand tenge ($169-203) for one dance performance. “Dance troupes tend to decline offers if they are contracted to dance less than three times during a party. So, dancing show cost 90 000 ($610) or more,” Mukanova said. She added that only not very popular actors and dancers charge 30,000 tenge ($203) per hour. For example, Atay Omurzakov, winner of Minute of Fame show in Bratislava, charges $1200 for his show. Then the couple needs to think over the whole show-program. “There are some more or less known dance groups that will charge not for one dance but for the time they spend at the event,” Mukanova said. A band with its own musical equipment can be hired for $4,000 per one party. A bilingual toast master (Russian and Kazakh languages) or DJ costs 300-330 thousand tenge ($2,230). “Cost of renting a limousine depends on how comfortable the car is and its' production year. An average limo capable of seating 10-15 people costs $100 per hour, but it must be rented at least for four hours. If it is hired for a shorter period of time, one hour costs $150,” the director said.
