Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has expressed condolences over the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Nazarbayev has sent a telegram to Vice-President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, the President’s official website wrote. Kazakhstan took the sad news on the death of Chavez with great sorrow. “Exceptional activities of Hugo Chavez for the comprehensive development of Venezuela and improvement of the people’s welfare left an indelible mark in the history. I am sure that his bright image will remain in our memory forever,” the telegram says. On behalf of Kazakhstan people and him personally Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed deep and sincere condolences to the family of Hugo Chavez and the Venezuelan people. Hugo Chavez died at night of March 6 at the age of 59. He had been battling with cancer for a long time and was recovering from the fourth surgery. A 7-day mourning has been declared in Venezuela.
