Dariga Nazarbayeva gave a concert in the Yussupov Palace in Saint-Petersburg, the city administration's website writes. After the concert chairman of the commission on social-cultural development of Kazakhstan Majilis (Lower Chamber of the Parliament) met with the mayor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko. The mayor thanked Nazarbayeva for the gift she made to the citizens. The mayor noted that trade-economic and social-cultural relations between Saint-Petersburg and Kazakhstan were developing successfuly. Kazakh businesses were actively working in the city. Besides, Petersburg delegation took part in the First Almaty Business-Forum. It included a presentation of St.Petersburg cluster of medical and ecological engineering and biotechnologies. "The city is ready to offer Kazakhstan pharmaceutical goods and enhance cooperation in healthcare. We are also very interested in Kazakhstan's experience in forming the legislative base for operations under the Customs Union," Poltavchenko said. St.Petersburg mayor supported Nazarbayeva's suggestion on establishing joint oncological centers in Kazakhstan on the basis of private-state partnership. Almaty Culture Days will be held in Saint-Petersburg in 2013. The events will also be held during St.Petersburg Culture Days in Almaty in 2014.
