Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed financial police to enhance countering corruption. On February 2 the President met with chairman of Kazakhstan Agency on Countering Economic and Corruption Crime Rashid Tussupbekov, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President’s press-service.
“The President instructed financial police to step up countering corruption and shade economy, provide protection of the rights of small and medium entrepreneurs,” the message states.
Head of State noted that the main objective of the financial police was countering corruption and economic crimes. “It is necessary to continue working in this direction, in particular, to enhance control over the use of money allocated for implementation of state programs,” press-service cited Nursultan Nazarbayev.
According to the President, 5.5 thousand detected corruption crimes out of the total 8 thousand are considered economic crimes. “Entrepreneurs should not face any problems, if they work honestly,” Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed.
