Gold production output to grow 2.3 times by 2014

Kazakhstan plans to increase gold production output 2.3 times by 2014 against 2010, Profinance.kz. “The task is to bring gold production output to over 70 tons per year by 2014”, the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technology reports in a press-release, citing Asset Issekeshev, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade. When speaking at the II international mining forum Minex Central Asia, Mr. Issekeshev said that in 2010 gold production output stood at 29.9 tons.
