Continuation

The beginning of May is rich with holidays. Kazakhstanis celebrate the Holiday of Nations Unity in Kazakhstan on May 1st. The 7th of May is the Day of the Protector of the Motherland. Finally, the biggest celebration that embraces a number of Post-Soviet and CIS countries in grand festivities is the Victory Day on May 9th. This day marks the capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union in the World War Two.

“To create favorable conditions for rest and make worktime more effecient, the days off shall be moved from Sunday, May 4th to Friday, May 2nd and from Sunday, May 11th to Thursday, May 8th 2014,” the PM’s message said.

This way Kazakhstanis will be enjoying their long holidays from May 1st to 3rd then have three workdays from the 4th to the 6th and then go back to holidays from May 7th to 10th. The next working week will start on May 11th, Sunday.

However, the decree does allow the organizations that possess sufficient human, material and financial resources (to produce goods, render services, including financial ones, and commission buildings) to schedule work hours from May 2nd to 8th, 2014 as agreed with their trade unions.

Otherwise, mark your calendars and enjoy the festivities.

Tengrinews team wishes you happy upcoming May holidays.
