Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, according to the Akorda press service.
Welcoming the high-level guest, Tokayev noted that her visit takes place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Astana and Skopje.
“Kazakhstan is interested in developing comprehensive partnership with North Macedonia. We view your country as a reliable partner in the Balkan Peninsula,” Tokayev stated.
Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the invitation and emphasized the strong potential for further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian collaboration in detail.

“An agreement was reached to give new momentum to the full range of Kazakh-Macedonian relations. Particular attention was paid to promising areas such as agriculture, transport and logistics, finance, and tourism. The presidents welcomed the decision of the well-known Macedonian pharmaceutical company Alkaloid to open a representative office in Almaty,” the press service reported.
The leaders also exchanged views on key issues on the international agenda.
Earlier, Tokayev held talks with Rwandan President Paul Kagame at Akorda. Tokayev called his visit historic and one that opens a new chapter in Kazakhstan-Rwanda relations.
