Tengrinews.kz — On Capital Day, July 6, 448 children were born in different regions of Kazakhstan. The country’s Ministry of Healthcare provided the statistics.
According to the Ministry of Healthcare, 448 children were born in medical organizations across the country on the holiday date. Of them, 223 were boys and 225 were girls. In Astana, two sets of twins were born.
The highest number of newborns was registered in Turkistan region, where 67 children were born. In Almaty, 44 babies were born, while 40 newborns each were registered in Shymkent and Almaty region.
The ministry noted that medical workers at maternity care organizations provide safe pregnancy and childbirth care around the clock, as well as the necessary assistance to newborns.
Earlier, according to the "State Corporation" Government for Citizens, Kazakhstan provides a childbirth allowance of 38 MCI, or 164,350 tenge in 2026, for the first, second and third child. For the fourth and subsequent children, the allowance is 63 MCI, or 272,475 tenge in 2026.
In the case of twins, triplets or quadruplets, the allowance is assigned separately for each child.
