Tokayev and Erdogan agreed on mutual support

Tengrinews.kz - The Head of State met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Baku, according to a statement from Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that he was pleased to meet with the President of the Republic of Turkey in Baku. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.
"Our brotherly relations are developing dynamically, with a constructive dialogue established at the political level and increasing cooperation between the governments of the two countries. Turkey is one of Kazakhstan's top five trading partners. Last year, trade turnover reached six billion dollars," emphasized the President of Kazakhstan.
According to the Head of State, Turkey is among the leading investors that have invested significantly in Kazakhstan's economy. He also stated that investment projects involving Turkish entrepreneurs are under his personal supervision.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey have taken on a strategic character. He highlighted the significant potential for further strengthening trade and economic cooperation.
"I am confident that during the fifth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, planned for next year in Ankara, we will sign important agreements in agriculture, defense, energy, transportation, logistics, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian spheres. We will continue working to increase bilateral trade to 15 billion dollars," said the Turkish president.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that Turkish companies are successfully operating in various sectors of Kazakhstan's economy. He stated that Turkish businesspeople are ready to share their expertise in modernizing the agricultural sector, building nuclear power plants, and transporting oil and gas.
Additionally, the heads of state exchanged views on current international and regional issues and agreed to provide mutual support within multilateral frameworks.
On November 11, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku for a working visit. During the visit, the President of Kazakhstan is holding meetings with heads of state, leaders of international organizations, and business representatives.
The Head of State also spoke at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit, which is part of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. After the opening of the plenary session, the first speaker was the President of Kazakhstan.
