Tengrinews.kz — The nationwide "Safe Road" enforcement campaign is being held in Almaty from July 11 to 16, citing the Polisia.kz.
For six days, police officers will operate under an intensified regime, focusing specifically on the most high-risk traffic violations.
Inspectors will target motorists driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving in oncoming lanes, speeding, and failing to wear seat belts.
Additionally, police will ramp up enforcement of traffic regulations for public transport, motorcycle, and moped drivers, as well as pedestrians.
Abdinur Tasybayev, head of the Administrative Police Department of the Almaty Police, noted that the primary goal of the campaign is not to increase the number of fines, but to prevent road accidents and improve overall safety.
"Road safety begins with the personal responsibility of every road user. Our mission is not only to identify violations but to prevent tragedies and save lives," he emphasized.
Police remind the public that following traffic rules remains the primary condition for the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.
The "Safe Road" enforcement campaign is regularly conducted across various regions of Kazakhstan, involving intensified patrols, preventive raids, and targeted monitoring of the most dangerous traffic violations.
