With a population of 20.33 million, this means that every third Kazakhstani is a car owner.
Electric vehicles gaining ground

- Gas-fueled vehicles by 36.2%
- Hybrid-powered by 9.3%
Over half a million cars in just 4 months

On that date, Kazakhstan had 5,775,499 registered vehicles, including:

- 116,493 buses
This means that over 526,000 vehicles were added to the national fleet in just four months.
Critical vehicle levels in Almaty and Astana
Almaty reached a critical vehicle density as early as last year. Each day, up to 1 million cars hit the city's roads, including 600,000 registered in Almaty and another 400,000 coming in from surrounding areas.
Transport experts have previously suggested expanding paid parking zones and limiting unnecessary travel within the city. They believe such measures could significantly reduce road congestion and improve the city's environmental situation.
However, the number of vehicles continues to grow.
