Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev opened the celebration events timed to Astana Day today, July 4, Tengrinews.kz reports. Kazakhstan flag was hoisted solemnly in the capital. “Our capital became famous in the whole world. This is Kazakhstan's brand, its gates. The whole world knows Kazakhstan by Astana. Astana is becoming a center of the Eurasian continent,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said in his congratulatory speech. The President noted that currently industrialization is the main direction for Kazakhstan's development. 152 facilities were put into operation under the Program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development. Another 200 projects are scheduled for this year. Astana is also hosting the 2nd ASTANA MINING & METALLURGY today. “Hundreds of thousands Kazakhstan citizens will get jobs,” the President noted speaking of implementation of the program of accelerated industrial and innovative development. Nursultan Nazarbayev has also granted military grades and shoulder straps to graduates of military universities. “This is how we appeal to young people. They are of the same age as our independence. We are building the country for them. We are building the future for them. We hope that accord and stability that will help develop our country are in good hands.
