Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Prime Minister, heads of law enforcement agencies and akims to take urgent measures to ensure the security of key facilities in the country. Political scientist Adil Kaukenov suggested that this order is related to the need to prepare the state apparatus for the most unexpected challenges.

As Adil Kaukenov noted, Kazakhstan takes the risks of the conflict around Ukraine escalating from regional to large-scale very seriously, therefore, it has repeatedly called on the parties to engage in dialogue and resume negotiations based on a constructive approach.

"However, the situation is only getting worse, so President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Prime Minister, the head of the Presidential Administration, heads of all law enforcement agencies and akims to take urgent measures to ensure the security of key military and civilian facilities," Kaukenov wrote on social networks.

According to the political scientist, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's order is related to the fact that the state apparatus is prepared for the most unexpected situations that such a major conflict is fraught with.

"In other words, when an emergency situation arises, there should not be a moment when everyone throws up their hands and talks about something that no one could have predicted. Especially when it concerns the economic well-being of citizens and the safety of infrastructure," he added.

Despite the risks, Kazakhstan remains committed to the principles of neutrality and good neighborliness, making every effort to maintain stability in Central Asia, Adil Kaukenov emphasized.
