Kazakhstan’s state authorities have doubled the demand for locally-made cars, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Finance Minister Bolat Zhamishev. “State authorities have increased the demand for local cars from 400 to over 900 items. The demand has more than doubled. I think that Ust-Kamenogorsk plant is ready to supply these cars and by doing so we will implement the instructions of the President,” Minister said in the Senate. Earlier Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the officials to refocus on buying local cars to meet their needs. Speaking at the extended government meeting, the President blamed the state employees for preferring foreign cars.
