Five thousand tenge banknote. National Bank©
A newly-designed five thousand tenge banknote was issued in Kazakhstan on December 30, 2011, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to the press-office of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“The banknote is made on 144x76 millimeter paper. The front side of the note is dominated by red color and has vertical images on the front side. Red and blue colors with horizontal images dominate the back side of the banknote,” the National Bank press-release reads. There are images of Kazakh Eli monument, flying doves and panthers on the front side of the new banknote. The state emblem and flag are depicted on the top of the banknote.
“An outline of Kazakhstan map is the main image on the back side. The Monument of Independence' top and Kazakhstan hotel building on the back of Zailiyskiy Alatau mountains are depicted in the foreground of the banknote,” press-office message reads. Holographic lines with images of apples and doves are placed on the right side.
Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that the National bank had released commemorative coins dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan.
