Kazakhstan's current accounts balance made $1.65 billion in surplus January-March 2013, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the preliminary calculations published at the official website of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
According to the Bank, the trade balance had a surplus of $10.03 billion. Kazakhstan's commodities export made $20.3 billion and import exceeded $10.2 billion.
The Q1 services balance closed with a deficit of $1.8 billion. Export of service made $1.1 billion and import exceeded $2.9 billion.
According to the preliminary information, the January-March capital transactions account (including errors and omissions) has a deficit of $1.4 billion. Direct foreign investments in Q1 2013 are $1.9 billion in red. The inflow of direct foreign investments to Kazakhstan made $3.7 billion.
