Foreign contractors have bereaved the local businessmen registered at the Kazakhstan government's public procurement website of around $372.6 million, Tengrinews reports citing the Center for Electronic Commerce. According to the website, since the beginning of 2013 the total worth of the public procurement contracts won by foreigners made 57.5 billion tenge ($372.6 million). "Since there are around 130 thousand Kazakhstan providers (of goods and services) (both individuals and legal entities) registered at www.goszakup.gov.kz, we can calculate that the tenders won by foreign providers deprived every local provider of 446 thousand tenge ($2,890) in profits", the message states. Most of the registered contractors are from Almaty - 16 thousand, and the lease number is from Atyrau Oblast - around 4 thousand.
