Oil heating furnace that went on fire at Shymkent oil refinery on February 6 is back to work now. The refinery is working in a normal production mode, href="http://tengrinews.kz" target="_blank">Tengrinews.kz reports citing Technical Director of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products Sergey Pilipenko. He said that production of petrol, aviation kerosene and liquefied gas was resumed in the afternoon of February 7. Pilipenko assured that the fire did not affect petrol dispatches, because the plants storage tanks were filled with finished goods. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that the fire at Shymkent oil refinery started at 02:30 p.m. on February 6. No casualties were reported. The scale of damage is being defined. The experts identified the cause of the accident . It turned out that heavy frost caused the pipeline damage and the crude oil flowing through the pipe went on fire.
