3.8-magnitude quake hit 111km from Almaty

3.8-magnitude earthquake hit the border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Almaty Emergency Situations Department. The shocks were registered at the depth of 15km on December 13 at 03:59 p.m. Astana time. The quake’s epicenter was 111km south-east of Almaty. The shocks were felt as magnitude 2 shocks in Kuram village. No casualties were reported. Another earthquake, a 4.6-magnitude one, hit Kyrgyzstan on December 13 at 09:52 a.m. Astana time. The epicenter was 365km east of Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and 80km north-east of Osh (Kyrgyzstan).
