3.8-magnitude quake struck at Kazakhstan-Chinese border

A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck at the border of Kazakhstan and China, Tengrinews.kz reports citing European-Mediterranean Seismological Center. The shocks were registered on August 17 at 06:14 a.m. Astana time. The epicenter of the quake was 345km east of Almaty, 82km east of Zharkent and 58km north-west of Yining (China). No casualties were reported.
