Tengrinews.kz - The Prosecutor's Office of Kyzylorda Region, using the AI-driven IT TERGEU project, has uncovered thefts amounting to hundreds of millions of tenge.
According to the office, the system facilitated the examination of 689 mobile phone numbers across 496 criminal cases.
"As a result, 134 criminal offenses causing damages of over 200 million tenge were identified, leading to the arrest of 62 offenders," the statement said.
Additionally, within just 24 hours, AI technology helped locate 51 individuals who had been reported missing.
"Of the 772 registered fraud cases, 375 have been referred to court. To date, a total of 439 million tenge in damages caused by fraudulent activities has been recovered during the investigation phase," the office added.
In a related operation, cybercriminals in Uralsk were detained between August and September this year. The group allegedly scammed Kyzylorda residents out of more than 10 million tenge through online schemes.
