KEGOC National Power Grid Operator’s budget 6% up

As compared to 2010, the 2011 budget of KEGOC National Power Grid Operator, has grown by 6%, Almassadam Satkaliev, Chairman of KEGOC National Power Grid Operator, said in an interview for Business Resource media holding . “This year’s budget stands at KZT 57 billion ($ 390.5 million). Net profit is expected at KZT 3.5 billion ($24 million), part of which will go to pay out dividend to the sole shareholder – Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund”, he said. “As for the investments program, we plan to invest KZT 17 billion ($117 million) this year. We have entered the 2nd stage of modernization works on the national electric power grid (…) Plans are there to construct an open switchgear and 220 kilovolt power lines at the Moinak hydropower plant to link the latter to the national power grid”.
