After the meeting Jenca shared his impressions from his visit to Zhanaozen, Mangistau oblast. According to him, the real reason of Zhanaozen clashes will be clear after the trials. "I was informed that the investigation has been non-public and there are several directions in the investigation and analysis of reasons of the riots. One part are the clashes that happened here. The other part is the role of law enforcement personnel that has to be define. I think that we have to wait for the trial. The court has to give all the answers," Jenca said. Special representative of the UN Secretary General noted that it is very important that the trials are fair and transparent. "I checked the restoration works and was impressed with the volume of support and attention given to this town. Most important is that the bloodshed was stopped immediately," Jenca said.
