A special center for acceptance of the residents’ applications has been set up in Zhanaozen, the official website of Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov writes. “This is made to improve communication. After the registration, we send the application to the respective authorities,” Mangistau oblast administration’s press-service cited deputy Akim (Mayor) of Zhanaozen Zholai Aissarbayev. The press-service also notes that restoration works are held around the town. “The facilities will be finished in line with the approved schedule. All the social facilities are provided with water, heating and power,” the message states. Over 1,000 people are involved in construction works in Zhanaozen. Heating networks, power lines and other damaged facilities are dismantled.
