The Ridge stars Danny Macaskill, a professional cyclist from Scotland, who overcomes the natural landscape obstacles of his native Isle of Skye all on his bike.
Macaskill shot the extreme ride along the notorious Cuillin Ridgeline with a camera fixed to his helmet. Professional operators and drones were also used in the video, helping to grasp the spectacular scenery of Scotland. The video was published on Youtube on October 2 and already gathered more than 13 million views.
Macaskill, 28, has become an Internet celebrity after releasing a video in 2009 depicting his tricks performed in Edinburgh. At that time, he worked as a bike mechanic.
