Two Kazakhstan's crews enter Top 5 at Africa Eco Race-2015

The Africa Eco Race-2015 rally marathon has ended on January 11 at Lake Retba in Dakar (Senegal). Two Kazakhstan’s crews have entered the Top 5, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

The Africa Eco Race-2015 rally marathon has ended on January 11 at Lake Retba in Dakar (Senegal). Two Kazakhstan’s crews have entered the Top 5, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Both Kazakhstan's crews are from Mobilex Racing Team. According to the results of all 12 stages, Kazakhstan’s crew – Kanat Shagirov and Alexander Moroz (#215, Toyota Hilux Overdrive) finished the rally marathon on the 4th line in the overall standings. It took them 23 minutes and 14 seconds to cover the stage's route. Another crew representing Kazakhstan – Yuriy Sazonov and Arslan Sakhimov (#216, Hummer H3) – came fifth in the overall rankings. The crew's time was 23 minutes and 16 seconds.

The winning time of the stage and the first place in the overall standings belongs to the French crew representing Bugg Afrique team - Jean Antoine Sabatier and Jean-luc Rojat (#201, BUGGA ONE). 

As for Kazakhstan's crews from Off Road Kazakhstan team, Andrey Cherednikov and Dmitriy Tsyro (#218, Hummer H3), they hold the 12th position in the overall rankings with their 15 minutes and 11 seconds, while Marat Abykayev and Andrey Chipenko (#217, Nissan Patrol) got the 15th position after driving for 17 minutes and 32 seconds.

The only biker representing Kazakhstan Vadim Pritulyak (#104, KTM500) ended up on the 8th line after covering the distance in 15 minutes and 39 seconds.

The rally marathon started on December 28, 2014 in French Saint Cyprien. Since that the participants drove through Spain, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal, thus overcoming 12 stages of a total length of 6337 kilometers, where 3430 kilometers of the route were special sections.
