Tennis: Shvedova in WTA top thirty again

Kazakhstan's No. 1 in tennis Yaroslava Shvedova is back among the world's top thirty best tennis professionals, Vesti.kz reports. Shvedova is ranked 28th in the updated Women Tennis Association (WTA) ranking. The athlete reached the 1/8 finals of the WTA Mutua Madrid Open-2013, but refused to continue the tournament because of an injury. Another Kazakhstan’s tennis professional, Yuliya Putintseva, moved down to the 108th line in ranking losing 19 lines in one week. Kseniya Pervak advanced from the 112th to the 110th line. Other Kazakhstan tennis professionals - Sesil Karatantcheva and Galina Voskoboyeva lost one line each and are now ranked 117th and 120th accordingly. Serena Williams (USA) is still in the first place in the WTA ranking, Maria Sharapova (Russia) is the second and Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) is the third. There were some changes in the top ten: Italia's Sara Errani is now the 6th in the WTA ranking replacing Germany's Angelique Kerber, and Duth Caroline Wozniacki became the world's No. 9 in tennis replacing Samantha Stosur from Australia.
