Kazakhstan tennis professional Yaroslava Shvedova has made it into the semifinals of Australian Open Mixed Doubles tournament, Vesti.kz reports. The Kazakhstan’s tennis professional paired with Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin won over the Spanish duo of Nuria Llagostera Vives and David Marrero. The first set ended with ca lear lead of Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan duo – 6:4. The situation was quite different in the second set: first Shvedova/Istomin led the match, but their rivals managed to grip the lead by the mid of the set. But the Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan duo broke their serve and then scored 7:5. The winners of the match between Nadezhda Petrova (Russia)/Mahesh Bhupathi (India) and Jarmila Gajdossova/Matthew Ebden (Australia) will play against Shvedova/Istomin duo in the semifinals of Australian Open.
