Tennis: Kazakhstan's Voskoboeva reaches Brisbane International finals

Galina Voskoboeva (WTO 67) from Kazakhstan paired with Kristina Mladenovic from France reached the Doubles final of the Brisbane International Tennis, but failed to win it, Tengrinews reports, citing Vesti.kz. The Kazakh-French duo was defeated by the pair of Alla Kudryavtseva from Russia and Australia’s Anastasia Rodionova in two sets 3-6 and 1-6 in the finals. In the semifinals Voskoboeva and Mladenovic beat Mandy Minella from Luxembourg paired with Chanelle Scheepers from South Africa also in two sets 6-3 and 6-4. Galina Voskoboeva is Kazakhstan's highest rated professional tennis player among women.
