Tennis: Kazakhstan advances to Fed Cup play-off

Kazakhstan female tennis professionals have advanced to the Fed Cup World Group II play-off by winning over the Uzbekistan’s team in the match that was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, Vesti.kz reports. Kseniya Pervak opened the match day. She played against Uzbekistan’s Abduraimova and won with ease 6:0, 6:4. Kazakhstan’s No.1 in tennis Yaroslava Shvedova appeared at the court in the next match of the day. She played against the best Uzbekistan’s tennis professional Akgul Amanmuradova. The latter won in a tough match evening the score before the final match. The winner was decided in the final Doubles match, where Yaroslava Shvedova paired with Galina Voskoboyeva won over the Uzbekistan’s duo of Akgul Amanmuradova and Nigina Abduraimova 6:2, 6:4.
