Kazakhstan tennis professional Yaroslava Shvedova paired with Germany’s Julia Goerges has made it into the semifinals of the International WTA ASB Classic-2013 Doubles that is being held in Auckland (New Zealand) on December 31, 2012 – January 5, 2013, Vesti.kz reports. Kazakhstan-German Shvedova/Goerges registered as Number 1 in the tournament, won over Ukraine-Israeli duo of Julia Beygelzimer/Julia Glushko in the quarter finals of the tournament. The match lasted for 1 hour and 15 minutes and ended with a score of 6:4, 3:6, 10:6 in favor of the Kazakhstan-German duo. Shvedova/Goerges will play against the winners of the match between Jill Craybas(USA)/Eleni Daniilidou (Greece) and Julia Coin(France)/Marie-Eve Pelletier (Canada) in the semifinals of the tournament. Shvedova, registered as Number 6 at the WTA ASB Classic-2013 Singles, left the tournament after she lost to Russia’s Elena Vesnina (2:6, 3:6) in the second round.
