Shvedova advances to semi-finals of Brazil Cup Doubles

Kazakhstan tennis professional Yaroslava Shvedova has made it into the semi-finals of the WTA Brazil Cup Doubles that is being held in the Brazilian city of Florianopolis, Vesti.kz reports. Kazakhstan's Shvedova paired with Spain’s Anabel Medina Garrigues won over Florencia Molinero (Argentina) and Adriana Perez (Venezuela) with the score of 6:1, 6:1 in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Kazakhstan/Spanish duo defeated Caroline Garcia (France) paired with Muguruza Blanco Garbine (Belgium) with the score of 6:3, 7:5 in the first round match.
