Kazakhstan Muay Thai team won 11 medals at World Championship

Kazakhstan Muay Thai team won 11 medals in Saint Petersburg World Championship, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Farkhat Amankulov, Muay Thai Federation Vice-President. Kazakhstan national team gained two silver and nine bronze medals. Ishan Galiyev, 51kg weight division fighter, and Rassul Manapov, 48kg weight division junior fighter, won silver medals. Rauan Kaldybayev, 48kg, won a bronze medal. Dias Nurmanov, 51kg boxer, Ilyas Mussin and Batyrkhan Mukhitov, both 54kg, won bronze as well. Raimbek Sembek, 60kg, was in the third place among juniors. Emil Umayev won bronze in 75kg weight division, Ismail Dzadziyev, heavyweight boxer, and Marat Rakhmangulov, super heavyweight, won bronze medals as well. Ivan Grigoryev, 81kg fighter, was the last boxer who gained a medal for Kazakhstan team. He became third among juniors on September 12. More than 1000 athletes from 100 countries took part in the Muay Thai World Championship. The tournament was held in 14 weight divisions and four age groups.
