Kazakhstan football club Shakhter of Karaganda has failed to prevail over Scottish Celtic in the second leg match of the final play-off round of the Champion League, Vesti.kz reports. The match that took place at the Celtic Park stadium in Glasgow ended with the score of 0:3 for the Kazakhstan club. Celtic's midfielder Kris Commons scored the first goal in the 45th minute. Then the goalkeeper of Shakhter club Aleksandr Mokin failed to prevent Celtic's forward Georgios Samaras in the beginning of the second half. Forward James Forrest landed the final goal in the 92th minute. Even in spite of winning the first leg match 2:0, Shakhter failed to advance into the group stage of the Champion League, as it was loosing one point to Celtic after the second leg match; the total score of the two matches made 2:3 in Celtic's favor. The first leg match took place at Astana Arena stadium in Astana. Shakhter scored 2 goals: the captain of the Kazakhstan club Andrei Finonchenko scored the 12th minute goal and then Sergei Khizhnichenko scored the second goal in the 77th minute.
