Denis Ten wins bronze at 2014 Trophée Éric Bompard in France

Kazakhstani figure skater Denis Ten has taken the third place at the 2014 Trophée Éric Bompard, the fifth event of the 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Tengrinews reports.


Kazakhstani figure skater Denis Ten has taken the third place at the 2014 Trophée Éric Bompard, the fifth event of the 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Tengrinews reports.

After the short program, Ten, 21, led with 144.5 points. Overall the Kazakhstani figure skater earned 236.28 points after his free skating program and landed on the third place. The 19 y.o. Russian figure skater Maxim Kovtun won the Trophée Éric Bompard with 243.35 points. Tatsuki Machida, 24, from Japan followed on the second place with 237.74 points. 

The Trophée Éric Bompard was held in Bordeaux, France on November 21-23. Besides all else it was an opportunity for figure skaters to earn some points to qualify for the Grand Prix Final to be held 11 to 14 December in Spain, Barcelona.
